my stay here exceeded my expectations during our wedding celebration in tarbolton. the 10oz ribeye steak was perfectly cooked and generously portioned, complemented by a delicious peppercorn sauce. the breakfast was a treat, with quality ingredients that added a great start to the day.
the room felt cramped and hot.

Cozy stay with a delicious breakfast
We spent 2 nights and the place felt modern and tidy. Breakfast was a real treat—ordered fresh instead of that boring buffet style. The only bummer was that our room was a bit cramped and super hot at night. The dining area had a nice vibe though, which made up for it! a fun experience.

The restaurant serves excellent quality food, featuring locally sourced meat that really shines in the steak offerings. Portions are generous, and the ambiance is lively, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.
Rooms can feel quite cramped, and there are reports of excessive heat, which might make your stay uncomfortable if you're sensitive to temperature. Some bathrooms could use more attention, with issues like mold in places and hair found in the shower tray. Breakfast options are notably limited too, which can be disappointing for those expecting more variety.

We had a delightful time, especially when one staff member went above and beyond to help us get a taxi after our late wedding. The hotel had a charming lounge and a cozy bar perfect for unwinding. My only slight issue was that the heating in the room felt a bit strong at night, but overall, we loved our stay! 😊

Had a great experience at the Black Bull in Tarbolton. The highlight was definitely the dinner. the 10oz Ribeye was cooked perfectly with all the trimmings. The peppercorn sauce on the steak added an extra touch. My wife enjoyed her Christmas dinner, and we couldn’t fault the desserts either. The service stood out. the staff were attentive without being intrusive, making the meal even more pleasant. On the downside, our room felt a bit cramped. The bathroom needed some attention, with a bit of mould in the shower area. the curtains didn't fit the window properly, which could have disturbed our sleep if it had been sunny. the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff made us feel welcome throughout. Just a few small details could elevate the whole experience.
